What is a COA?
A Certificate of Analysis, explained
A Certificate of Analysis is an official document issued by a testing laboratory that reports the results of quality tests performed on a specific batch of a compound. For research peptides, it is the single most important document you can ask for — it proves the product has been tested, shows how pure it is, and confirms it is the compound it claims to be.
Any supplier unwilling to share a COA is asking you to take their word for it. We believe you should never have to.
Reading a COA
What to look for
Product & batch number
Confirms the certificate belongs to the exact compound and lot you purchased.
Purity (HPLC)
The percentage of the target compound in the vial. Look for 98% or higher.
Mass spec result
Verifies molecular weight matches the expected compound — proof of identity.
Test date & lab
Recent dates and a named, independent laboratory are signs of a legitimate document.
